1)      1978.9 – 1981.7, studying English at Xi’an Foreign Language School, after

graduation from the junior middle school;

2)      1981.8 – 1995. 8, working as an English teacher in No. 1 Middle School in

Xixiang, Shaanxi Province, during which time further study of both English and Chinese language and literature was completed with official diplomas;

3)      1995.9 – 2003.8, working as an English teacher in the Railway School in

Ankang , Shaanxi Province;

4)      2001. 2 – 2003. 12, studying in the College of Foreign Languages , SNU, and granted the Education Master’s degree;

5)      2003. 9 – 2006.7, studying in the College of Liberal Arts of the Northwest

University and granted the degree of Master of Arts (comparative literature);

6)      Since July, 2006, working at the Department of TCSOL of the College of

Liberal Arts, Northwest University (NWU), Xi’an .

7) In 2012, granted the the Ph. D. (in TCSOL) after four years of studying Linguistics & Applied Linguistics in SNU.

Achievements

1) Teaching Experience:

A.     20 years of teaching English in two middle schools;

B.     6 years of teaching both English language & culture and SL Teaching & Learning in three Chinese universities;

C.     4 years of part-time teaching of the Chinese language to foreign students.

2) Action Research:

A.     a dozen papers on Chinese middle school education and English teaching, half of which got published, others awarded;

B.     7 papers on comparative literature (Chinese & English) got published on various university academic journals;

C.     4 theses on Teaching of Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (TCSOL ) got published on various university academic journals;

D.    1 coursebook on the essentials of the culture of the English-speaking countries.

3) Awards Granted:

A. 5 Advanced Teacher’s honours at the county’s or municipal level

B. 1 Top Young Talent and Backbone Teacher’s title in the Bureau of Railway, Zhengzhou , as well as the Best Scholar in the Agency of Railway, Ankang

C. 5 Best Part-time Teacher’s honours in Xi’an International Studies University.
